The hints
It started with a hint on the chrono.gg discord #secrets channel:
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble. Fillet of a fenny snake, In the caldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting, Lizard's leg and howlet's wing, For a book of powerful deals, Like the blackest of Friday steals. People then realized that the next ARG had begun so started looking around for clues. Immediately a URL was noticed in the deal banner for the day's sale.
Upon opening, the user is shown a cauldron and an empty shelf.

there's also two hidden pages that can be accessed by incrementing the URL (http://necromancyforbeginners.com/recipe/14 and http://necromancyforbeginners.com/recipe/15). These just have titles (Unremarkable Fish Filet & Dubious Potion) Here's the text written out.
